The Most Problematic Robocalls
The monthโs most notorious campaigns involved pre-approved consolidation loan offers. These calls, projected to total in the tens of millions, originated from thousands of numbers and often featured generic messages from โfunding managersโ at โour California branch.โ They typically offered personal loans up to $45,000 and pressed recipients to connect with โunderwritingโ by pressing a number. Notably, these messages gave no clear company identification, targeting individuals who never requested contact and raising suspicions of shady marketingโor possible scams.
